Speaking of...

...how fast things grow... here's our group photo from last week's trip to Kings Dominion. Me, Justin, Amy, Kari, and Kayla, Kari's little girl ~ my "niece"... how in the world is she almost SEVEN ALREADY????


As you can see, it was very cold and windy, but it was an AWESOME day... we were able to get on every ride with no wait, and even got to ride the Volcano multiple times! But most impressive to me was the fact that they now have a full service Starbucks at the park. Have I died and gone to heaven!??!

I rode the Scooby Doo roller coaster for the first time since my sister was small. I didn't know adults were even allowed on that thing! But Kayla was (mostly) fearless on the rides. She's big/tall enough to ride everything, just a few more years before she's ready for the upside down coasters. She does have a fondess for the "vomit comets" - the rides that fling you around and around and around... poor Justin drew the short straw and had to ride one particularly nauseating ride 2x straight. He was walking green and crooked for a few minutes afterwards...

Can't wait to go again! Even if these old bones were ready to leave a good 3 hours before Kayla wanted to go...
