So I was laying in bed last night, after a long car ride home from Raleigh, feeling slightly nauseous from all the bad food I'd eaten that weekend, when I open the WashPost magazine to the cover story. Justin had warned me it was pretty nasty, about a strange new disease that causes mysterious fibers to sprout through the skin. Here is the "soundbite" quote that is splashed in big font on the first page...
One day, she says, a pink worm came out of one of her eyeballs and she coughed up a springtail fly.
Needless to say, I did NOT read further and quickly closed the magazine.
