Winner, "World's Best Husband Award"

So next Friday is my 4th Wedding Anniversary. (Only four? It seems so long already. And dear - I mean that only in the BEST sense!) We had low-key plans, dinner at the Melting Pot in DC. We're saving up (money and excitement) for our 5-year, next year.

Well imagine my surprise and hot flashes when my co-worker Edyta comes in this morning and, handing me the Express, tells me "I'm sure you've already seen this."

As my favorite leaper often exclaims - OHHHHH BOY! Where the wolf whistle/panting emoticon when I need one?

After calming down, I realize I'm now stuck in a dilemma. What to do? On one hand, do I ask my husband to scrap our anniversary plans to go see one of my crushes AGAIN? (Our very 1st anniversary, Alton Brown of Food Network's "Good Eats" was in town for a book signing and I dragged him out to see him.) Not to mention, that weekend I am going out of town for a girl's weekend, so I couldn't even make it up to him with a delayed celebration.

On the OTHER hand. It's freaking SCOTT BAKULA, the subject of many a young girl's fantasy (at least this girl's!), and still to this day, a bit of sweet eye candy. And besides, it's Ford's Theater, it's Broadway tunes, it's CULTURE! It would be WRONG of me not to try to enrichen our lives, right? RIGHT?!

So I pick up the phone and in my best "Pwetty PWEASE?" voice, remind him about how much he loves me, and has promised to love, honor and cherish me, upto and including! spoiling me rotten, and that says that he'd do anything for me. "Yeah?" he cautiously agrees... I lay down my proposal, in my winningest voice, and amazingly, he AGREES to go!

Do I have a great husband, or what? :oD

And hey, I have to compromise, too. I promised myself (and our bank account) that I would only get cheap seats, if they were available - and the view from the cheap seats "may be obstructed". *sigh* That's ok, we're just there for his voice, right? ;)
