Owie ow ow

Day three of San Fran brings high heels and severely swollen feet. Oh my. Usually I am able to slip my sneakers on and off without untying them but this time there was no way. My poor feet look like little pork rolls. :( My kingdom for a foot rub!

Sadly my trip coincided with the tail end of Fleet Week so I was unable to get my fix of yummy military eye candy, but its been an interesting time so far. I cut out of work a little early and tried to do some of the touristy things. I walked up the huge hill by my hotel - words cannot even give justice to how unbelievably sharp an incline it was. Esp a girl from smalltown VA. I was half way up the hill and if I were a truck I would have been straining the transmission. I took some photos but really I think tonight is going to involve me, a bed, inclined feet and a good book.

I still hope to get some souvineers before I turn in tonight - did someone mention earrings? :) I already did some damage at the local wine shop. Really you can't come to Napa and NOT buy wine. Right?

So now I'm having a nice steak dinner for one and enjoying the peace and quiet. (The waiter here and the wine clerk earlier are quite possibly only nos. 3 and 4 friendly natives I've come across. Still bizzare to me.) Tomorrow starts at 6:30, blegh.

I think my only real regrets stemming from this trip will be not having had a chance to do the big tourist things like Alcatraz and the wharf, but hey that's what 2011 is for!
