We're moving! New address...

Ok, so no, not really, but today I was checking out the WaPo's Weekend "Plan on it" guide to upcoming summer fun, and I see this:

Jim Henson's Fantastic World/Muppets, Music and Magic: Jim Henson's Legacy

A museum-and-movies twofer traces the humble roots of the global Muppet empire back to the early doodles and experimental films of the whiz-kid puppeteer who created Kermit the Frog and other indelible characters. “Jim Henson’s Fantastic World,” an exhibition featuring storyboards, puppets and film props at the International Gallery of the Smithsonian’s S. Dillon Ripley Center, 1100 Jefferson Dr. SW, runs through Oct. 5. FREE. “Muppets, Music and Magic,” a mini film fest featuring rarely seen archival footage, movies and TV shows by Henson, runs through Aug. 24 at the AFI’s Silver Theatre, 8633 Colesville Rd., Silver Spring. $9.75, matinees $7.50.

So I go to the AFI Website to see what movies are playing, and it looks like every. blooming. weekend in July J and I (whether he likes it or not ;) will be in Silver Spring:

• The Muppet Movie
• Muppet History 101
• Muppet Music Moments
• Dark Crystal
• Labyrinth
• Sixteen Candles and Breakfast Club (not Muppet related, but still cool to be able to see on the big screen)

Seriously! Looking at the calendar, I can identify at least 2 consecutive weekends we'll be in Silver Spring... the 12th alone may be a triple header! (5 pm Muppet Movie; 7 pm Breakfast Club; 9:10 pm Sixteen Candles) And if we can manage a stopover at the Smithsonian to see the Jim Henson exhibit, so much the better.

So if anyone's trying to reach me next month, and I don't answer, don't worry - I'm just in 7th Heaven... :)
